The At-Home Health MOT (One-Off) is a blood test that measures important biomarkers (such as your testosterone, cholesterol, and vitamin D levels) to give you an accurate insight into your health. It also tests the function of your thyroid, kidneys, and liver to tell you if they’re working as they should. Each At-Home Health MOT comes with a free review from a UK clinician who can offer personalised health advice based on the outcome of your test.
General good health, particular cardiovascular, is important for sexual function. Avoiding obesity and belly fat can help you avoid and treat erectile dysfunction. A good diet and exercise should be part of your daily regimen.
Erectile dysfunction refers specifically to problems achieving or maintaining an erection. Other forms of male sexual dysfunction include poor libido and problems with ejaculation. Men with erectile dysfunction often have a healthy libido, but their bodies fail to respond in the sexual encounter by producing an erection. Usually there is a physical basis for the problem.
Some men with erectile dysfunction report having either a partial erection that is unable to sustain sexual intercourse, or the total absence of swelling of the penis. The severity of erectile dysfunction can be assessed using the International Index of Erectile Function (IIEF-5), which uses a questionnaire to grade ED as either mild, moderate or severe.
ED can cause strain on a couple. Many times, men won't get into sexual situations because they are embarrassed. In turn, their partner may feel rejected or inadequate. It's important to talk openly with your partner. Some couples may get treatment for ED together. Other men prefer to get treatment without their partner's knowledge. Not talking about it is the main barrier to getting treatment. The loss of erectile function can have a profound effect on a man. The good news is that ED can often be treated safely and effectively.

Some men who get radiation will notice that their erections change for the worse over the first year or so after treatment. This change most often develops slowly. Some men will still have full erections but lose them before reaching climax. Others no longer get firm erections at all.

Instead of letting go and feeling excited, a man may focus on whether he will be able to function, and fear of failure might make it happen. He may blame the resulting problem on his medical condition, even though he might be able to have an erection if he were able to relax.
